December 2011 - New client catch-up

We’ve seen some significant new client wins in the latter part of the year that add to our science & healthcare and retail & leisure portfolios.

In science & healthcare, it’s been our pleasure to work with the teams at Norwich Research Park and METRC, The N8 Molecular Engineering Translational Research Centre. Norwich Research Park has recently received a £26M investment from the Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council to stimulate innovation from its outstanding bioscience research base and drive further investment and job creation. As part of this, HMA is supporting NRP in developing its branding and online presence.

METRC has also received new investment, in this case to continue its success in connecting companies and North of England universities to help accelerate commercial research and development in the fields of nanotechnology, science and engineering. HMA is creating a new brand, website and marketing material to promote the next phase of METRC’s activities.

Similarly in retail & leisure, we’ve been delighted to work with the management team at Kingstonfirst, which is responsible for delivery of all events, services and marketing in Kingston upon Thames town centre. HMA is developing a new web presence for Kingstonfirst to help promote Kingston as a destination for shoppers and tourists and to highlight the increasing range of services available in the town.

November 2011 - HMA goes Bio-digital!

We were delighted to support Bionow at its 10th Annual Awards event at the Mere Resort, Cheshire on 24 November. HMA created a 'website walk-through' that was displayed at the event to help members and prospective members to see how membership of Bionow could support their businesses in a number of areas, including procurement, marketing and recruitment. The walk-through was also provided to all guests on memory sticks and will be available via the website.

The 2011 Awards, the first for Bionow as a standalone business, were a great success with awards being made in seven categories from Start-up Company of the Year (Redx Pharma) to Company of the Year (Qiagen Manchester).

HMA is the digital partner of Bionow, a membership organisation for the biomedical and life-sciences community in the North of England. As part of this, we have designed and developed Bionow's website, www.bionow.co.uk, providing an online platform to help the Bionow team to support and grow the community.

November 2011 - Nicola’s in the pink!

HMA’s very own Nicola Tiffany held a hugely successful Pink Party event in aid of Breast Cancer Care at the weekend, raising over £1000 for the charity.

Nicola was the hostess with the mostess, serving delicious strawberry tea and gorgeous cup cakes. Local businesses and friends were very generous in donating prizes and gifts for the fun and games – including a raffle, tombola and guess the number of sweets!

Nicola has now raised over £3500 for Breast Cancer Care and hopes to continue with her annual Pink Parties to raise even more!

October 2011 - Trio of Industry Portals complete for the University of Sheffield

HMA Digital Marketing has just completed the third in a series of industry portals for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health at the University of Sheffield.

Following on from the success of the Engineering & Science Gateways, Sheffield Healthcare Gateway has been created to facilitate collaborative partnerships between both commercial organisations and the NHS with the University. The new website provides a gateway into the world-class expertise and facilities available within the Faculty, identifying case studies and key contacts to make the route from industry to academia more accessible.
