Two apps that HMA has created for teenage mental health charity stem4 are currently listed in the top 50 health and fitness apps list in the iOS app store.

Calm Harm – an app to help teenagers resist or manage the urge to self-harm – is currently #31 on the list. HMA worked alongside stem4 as its design and development partner to design the user interface (UI) and personalise the user experience (UX) on the Calm Harm app. The app has gone on to win numerous awards, the most recent of which being a prestigious Gold DBA Design Effectiveness Award.

The more recent release Clear Fear, is an app to help children and young people manage the symptoms of anxiety, is currently #44 on the list. Following the incredible success of Calm Harm, the stem4 and HMA partnership applied for a Comic Relief/Paul Hamlyn Foundation Tech for Good grant to fund the development of a new app to help teenagers manage their anxiety.

Calm Harm and Clear Fear are both free to download and are available on both the App Store and Google Play.
