The latest project from HMA and stem4, Combined Minds, has just been released on both iOS and Android.
HMA is proud to have delivered a third app for mental health charity stem4 following the success of Calm Harm and Clear Fear. The latest addition to the digital portfolio, Combined Minds, is aimed at the families and friends of young people to support them with their mental health.
When a child or young person has a diagnosed mental health condition, families and friends want to support them in the best way but also know when to step back. Combined Minds uses a ’Strengths-Based’ approach which has been shown to be effective in recovery. This approach focusses on the positive attributes of the person and builds on resourcefulness and resilience.
Combined Minds helps families and friends to find ways to provide the right environment to help the individuals they support affect their own change. As important influencers in the lives of young people, this provides positive impact on their mental health. A ‘Strength-Based’ approach works both ways, also helping families and friends to search for their own strengths.
Consultant Clinical Psychologist and CEO of stem4, Dr Nihara Krause said “stem4’s digital portfolio is growing from strength to strength; and focusing on user needs through a co-creation process has been key in every project we’ve delivered. As our long-term tech partner, HMA has been instrumental in the success of our apps and we’re excited to be launching new projects with them in 2020.”
Combined Minds is available to download now from the App Store and Google Play.
