Here at the HMA offices Client Services Director Emma is packing up her pencil case ready to head off to University this week to start a part-time Masters course in Behaviour Change.
The first course of its kind in the UK, the MSc in Behaviour Change (Health & Wellbeing) is taught by a team of expert psychologists and ergonomists at Derby University. The innovative three-year course focuses on promoting applied evidence-based science relevant to the understanding and promotion of behaviour change.
Talking about her decision to make a return to study Emma said: “I’ve been inspired by the work we have been doing in the health, science and technology sectors recently. I think there is a huge opportunity for HMA to help shape and develop digital experiences to focus on positive psychological behaviours and attitudes to promote health and wellbeing.
“I’m excited to learn about how to evaluate and design interventions that provide opportunities for people to make great changes to their lives. Plus, studying part-time means I’m still able to do my day-to-day role of delivering brilliant projects for our clients at HMA!”
