HMA attended the first in a series of Connected Healthcare events on Thursday 21st January. The events are part of a drive to bring together creative and digital innovators and key personnel from healthcare organisations across Yorkshire and Humber to explore market opportunities for technology products in the NHS and wider healthcare sector.

HMA Managing Director Nicola Tiffany was invited to speak about HMA’s work in Health, Science and Technology and the challenges faced whilst moving into these sectors. Other members of the HMA team were in attendance networking and showcasing award-winning work.

Speaking about the event Nicola said “The event was great, well organised with a good range of speakers and attendees. There seems to be a real appetite for digital health in the Yorkshire and Humber region and we now need to ensure that that the momentum leads to real, commercial benefits for organisations but more importantly, projects that deliver improved patient outcomes.”

Connected Healthcare was been organised by Barnsley’s Digital Media Centre team and Dr. Ceri Batchelder, through Enterprising Barnsley business support; in partnership with the Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network (AHSN), which aims to promote service improvement through innovation in the NHS. The series of events is also supported by Tech North, a government-backed body which aims to accelerate growth of the digital economy in our region.
