The University of Sheffield Centre for Membrane Interactions and Dynamics needed an animation that they could use as part of an exhibition stand. The Experience Pods were part of their student outreach work to attract A-level students to Sheffield Biomedical Science courses.

The Brief
The Animation
We split the animation into three main sections; the whole of the cell, endocytosis and secretion/exocytosis. Starting with a descriptive storyboard, we put together a narrative of what needs to be shown, describing how we will show any complex biological processes. Once this is agreed we produce some short sections to agree the final look-and-feel of the animation, before working through each section and producing the final rendered videos.
